Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is hiring for a Trimmer/Climber (CDL Required). This role trims, tops, and reshapes trees to clear utility powerlines and maintain safe and compliant right-of-ways.

The position is full-time, non-exempt, with hourly compensation and a benefits framework that varies by tenure and location. Responsibilities include operating tools, removing branches, loading trucks, and assisting with training new staff.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• No fear of heights.
• Excellent hand-to-eye coordination.
• Able to walk, climb and work from ladders and uneven surfaces.
• Able to work in varying weather conditions while handling equipment.
• Willing to join local union and pay union dues.

Responsibilities

• Trim and remove trees, branches, and trunk sections.
• Operate and service required tools and equipment.
• Cut and split large debris into manageable pieces.
• Load/unload trucks and feed debris into woodchipper.
• Set up barriers and protect workers and the public.
• Assist in training new employees and inspect tools and equipment.
