Job summary

Republic Services in Missouri is offering a Driver Trainee program designed to train individuals to obtain a commercial driver’s license (CDL). The trainee will complete a comprehensive training program and be provided resources to take the CDL examination.

Upon obtaining the CDL, the incumbent will move into a Driver position across Residential, Commercial, Industrial, or Roll-Off. The program includes classroom study, on-route training, driving experience, and support to pass the state CDL

Qualifications

• No prohibitions to acquiring a commercial drivers’ license.

Responsibilities

• Complete CDL training program including classroom study, on-route training, and resources to take the CDL examination.
• After CDL, perform Driver responsibilities across Residential, Commercial, Industrial, or Roll-Off.
• Learn pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections and report safety issues.
• Safely operate a heavy or commercial truck along designated routes and service customers.
• Follow safety policies and procedures and report any issues promptly.
