Job summary

Republic Services in Cincinnati is seeking a Driver Trainee who will be trained to obtain a CDL and eventually assume a Driver role across Residential, Commercial, Industrial or Roll-Off lines. The program includes classroom study, on-road training and the resources to sit the CDL exam.

After CDL completion, you’ll complete 12 months of employment as a Driver, following safety policies and operating procedures.

Qualifications

• No prohibitions to acquiring a commercial drivers’ license.

Responsibilities

• Complete CDL training program and obtain CDL.
• Work twelve months after CDL.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections per policy.
• Safely operate a heavy truck on designated routes and service customers.
• Identify unsatisfactory containers and monitor waste safety.
