Job summary

Qualifications

• At least one year of bus driving experience.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required within 30 days of hire.
• Knowledge of rules/guidelines related to commercial passenger vehicles (bus).
• Desire and ability to work with children.

Responsibilities

• Drives bus safely according to YMCA policies and state laws.
• Completes before-and-after trip checks daily; records gas, mileage, and maintenance.
• Cleans bus daily.
• Promotes safety by stocking first aid supplies.
• Ensures bus rules are announced and followed.
• Develops positive relationships with staff, volunteers, parents, and children.
• Communicates with supervisor and other staff.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
