Job summary

Family YMCA of Greater Augusta is seeking a Bus Driver to provide safe transportation for program participants, supporting youth development and healthy living initiatives.

The role requires a CDL with school bus and passenger endorsements, a high school diploma or GED, and 2+ years of driving experience. You must maintain a clean MVR, hold a DOT medical certificate, and obtain CPR/First Aid within 60 days of hire. Monday through Friday, 11am–4pm, on-site.

Qualifications

• CDL with School Bus and Passenger endorsements required.
• High school diploma or GED completed.
• Minimum 2 years of bus driving experience.
• 21 years of age or older.
• DOT Medical Examiner Certificate.
• CPR/AED, BBP, and First Aid certifications within 60 days of hire.
• Clear background check and clean MVR.

Responsibilities

• Drives bus safely according to YMCA policies and state laws.
• Maintains bus in clean, orderly condition.
• Performs pre- and post-trip checks; records fuel, mileage, and maintenance.
• Promotes safety and manages student behavior during transport.
• Communicates with staff and supervisor; assists with program-related tasks as needed.
• Adheres to program guidelines for food service storage when required.
