Job summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta is seeking a CDL bus driver to provide safe transportation for afterschool programs at the Andrew & Walter Young Family YMCA in Atlanta, GA. You will maintain a positive atmosphere and ensure compliance with licensing guidelines while supporting youth development initiatives.

Responsibilities include attendance, communications with staff, training, and safeguarding students.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Commercial Driver License (CDL)
• Must pass a criminal background check, BFTS fingerprinting, MVR, and drug screening
• Must be legally eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Ability to pass pre-employment background check including Criminal Record check, Drug Screening, motor vehicle record (MVR) and reference check
• Must be available to work between 7:00am and 7:00p.m., Mon-Fri
• Knowledge of regulations for commercial passenger vehicles (bus)

Responsibilities

• Take daily attendance at the start of the program and during each transition
• Coordinate supply requests with directors
• Establish open lines of communication with branch staff and school staff
• Assist in planning and implementing the program according to YMCA guidelines
• Attend required trainings (Bright from the Start, YMCA)
• Maintain safety and discipline for youth participants during transportation
• Maintain incident/accident paperwork and reporting
• Ensure all program transportation runs smoothly and safely
