Job summary

Darling Ingredients Inc. is seeking a Route Driver to operate a semi-truck or vacuum truck for collecting animal mortalities, fats, bones, or grease at customer sites across the region. Responsibilities include safety checks, DOT logging, and maintaining vehicle condition.

Minimum qualifications include a CDL with tanker endorsements or CDL B as per route, plus a clean driving record and FMCSA Clearinghouse registration. Occasional travel and weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 21 years old with clean Motor Vehicle Record.
• CDL A with tanker endorsements (route dependent).
• CDL B license (route dependent).
• Must be registered on Clearinghouse FMCSA.

Responsibilities

• Operate a semi-truck or vacuum truck to collect materials from customer locations.
• Inspect materials at pickup for hazards and foreign materials.
• Maintain Electronic DOT log and route tickets daily.
• Provide receipts and secure management signatures at locations.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and comply with regulations.
• Complete daily vehicle condition reports and safety checks.
• Attend safety meetings and participate in Safety Committee if needed.
