Job summary

Darling Ingredients is hiring a Route Driver to operate a semi-truck or vacuum truck and collect animal mortalities, fat, bone, or grease from customer locations. Depending on the plant location, you may pump or load grease containers and ensure proper documentation and safety compliance.

The role requires a valid CDL with tanker endorsements (route dependent), willingness to work nights/weekends, and the ability to maintain the Electronic DOT log while delivering professional service and

Qualifications

Must have a High school diploma or GED.
CDL A license with tanker endorsements (dependent on route).
CDL B license may be required depending on route.
Must be registered on the FMCSA Clearinghouse.

Responsibilities

Operates a semi-truck or vacuum truck to collect animal mortalities, fat and bone, or grease for removal from customer locations.
Collects and inspects raw material for foreign or hazardous materials at pickup.
Maintains vehicle in clean condition and adheres to safety regulations.
Completes route tickets and documents with customer signatures and management approval.
Maintains electronic DOT log and completes required paperwork daily.
Provides courteous customer service and upholds company safety standards.
