Darling Ingredients Inc. is seeking a Route Driver in Illinois to operate a semi-truck or vacuum truck, collecting animal mortalities, fat and bone, or grease for removal from customer locations. Responsibilities depend on plant location.

The role emphasizes safety, proper documentation, and excellent customer service, with frequent travel to off-site locations and adherence to DOT regulations. A CDL‑A with tanker endorsements is required, along with a clean MVR and FMCSA Clearinghouse

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must be 21+ years old with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• CDL‑A license with tanker endorsements; FMCSA Clearinghouse registration is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate a semi-truck or vacuum truck to collect animal mortalities, fat, bone, or grease from customer locations.
• Inspect raw material at pickup for any foreign or hazardous material.
• Maintain an Electronic DOT log.
• Provide receipts and obtain customer signatures; complete route tickets daily.
• Maintain vehicle in clean condition and comply with company, state, and federal regulations; perform safety checks.
