Job summary

Clean Harbors in San Jose, CA is hiring a Route Driver (CDL Required) to train new CDL holders and service on-site needs. You will drive a Class B box truck, move drums and work with parts washers while building a base of customers along a defined route.

The position emphasizes safety, compliance, and customer-facing sales with uncapped potential through service and upsell opportunities.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class B required.
• Hazmat endorsement within 90 days of hire.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to perform physical functions per job requirements.
• Must successfully complete a background check, drug test and physical as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Health and safety is the priority and all safety practices must be followed.
• Switch out 15- & 30-gallon drums of solutions.
• Service parts washer machines and clean sediment from sinks.
• Upsell at customer locations and generate new leads in the field.
• Service automotive repair, fleets, and manufacturing businesses.
• Complete daily scheduled services, deliveries, and pickups on time.
• Follow all local, state and federal regulations and comply with DOT rules.
• Operate vehicles safely per DOT and company guidelines.
• Follow environmental and safety operating guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
