Job summary

Clean Harbors, Inc. is seeking a Sales and Service Route Driver to train on a Class B box truck, provide onsite service for parts washers, pick up containerized hazardous waste, and sell products along a defined route.

Onboarding includes a 5-day Safety Kleen Academy in Elgin, IL with airfare, hotel, and per diem covered. Travel is required; the role offers field-based sales and service with safety as a top priority.

Qualifications

• Class B CDL required.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsement within 90 days of employment.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Perform physical functions per job requirements.
• Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical by position.
• Per OSHA's Respiratory Protection standard, facial hair rules may apply for respirator positions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by following safe work practices and policies.
• Visit 10–12 customer sites per day.
• Switch out 15- and 30-gallon drums of solutions.
• Service parts washer machines and clean sediment from sinks.
• Upsell at customer locations and generate new leads in the field.
• Service automotive repair, fleets, and manufacturing-type businesses.
• Complete daily scheduled services, deliveries, and pick-ups on time.
• Follow all local, state, and federal compliance regulations.
• Safely operate vehicles per DOT and local regulations.
• Observe company environmental health and safety guidelines.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
