Job summary

Safety-Kleen in San Jose, CA is hiring a Sales and Service Route Driver to operate a Class B box truck for onsite parts washer service, waste pickup, and product/service sales along a defined route. The role includes training for CDL and Hazmat, and field growth opportunities.

Starting pay is $31.00 hourly DOE + OT, with uncapped commission and comprehensive benefits after 30 days. Expect 10–12 hour days serving multiple customer sites daily with safety first practices.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class B required.
• Hazmat endorsement within 90 days.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Good customer service skills.
• Ability to perform physical duties.
• Background check, drug test, and medical clearance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner.
• May visit 10-12 customer sites per day.
• Switch out 15- & 30-gallon drums of solutions.
• Service parts washer machines and clean out sediment from sinks.
• Up-sell at customer locations and generate new leads in the field.
• Service automotive repair, fleets, and manufacturing type businesses.
• Complete daily scheduled services, deliveries, and pick-ups in a timely manner.
• Follow all local, state (provincial) and federal compliance regulations and rules.
• Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state (provincial) and federal requirements.
• Observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines.
• Performs other duties as assigned
