Job summary

Fastenal is hiring a Driver (DOT - CDL) - Class A or Class B for the Davenport, IA area. You will deliver from Fastenal Distribution Centers to branches and customer on-site locations, operate a late model tractor trailer or straight truck, and unload freight at each stop.

We offer a $5,000 sign-on bonus and a full-time schedule with morning shifts. Responsibilities include using a handheld scanner, maintaining equipment, and complying with DOT safety regulations while delivering excellent

Qualifications

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Possess or are in the process of obtaining a Class A or Class B CDL.
• Current Health Card or ability to obtain one.
• Haz Mat endorsement or ability to obtain one (US/PR/Guam).
• Meet Fastenal driving record requirements and DOT rules.
• Able to pass DOT drug and alcohol screens and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Utilizing a handheld scanner for deliveries.
• Unload product from trucks by hand, pallet jack, or forklift.
• Deliver to branches and customer on-site locations promptly.
• Coordinate with shipping and receiving departments.
• Keep work area clean and equipment in good condition.
• Inspect and report any defects or issues with equipment.
• Comply with DOT safety regulations and health/safety rules.
• Participate in health, safety and sustainability programs.
