Job summary

Fastenal Co. in Winona, MN is seeking a Driver (DOT - CDL) with Class A or Class B to join the MN100 Distribution Center delivery team.

As a full‑time route driver you will operate a late‑model tractor trailer or straight truck, unload at 10–12 stops, and service branches and customer sites with safe, on‑time deliveries.

The role includes a $5,000 sign‑on bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Possess or are currently in progress of obtaining a Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License.
• Possess a current Health Card OR have the ability to obtain one.
• Possess a current Haz Mat endorsement OR have the ability to obtain one (US, Puerto Rico, Guam).
• Meet Fastenal driving record requirements.

Responsibilities

• Unloading product from trucks by hand, pallet jack, or forklift.
• Delivering product to branches and customer on-site locations in a prompt, efficient manner.
• Using handheld scanner to track deliveries and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Complying with DOT and Fastenal safety regulations.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area and equipment.
• Interacting with shipping and receiving departments at stops.

OVERVIEW

Find your future at Fastenal! Our distribution center is hiring energetic, team oriented individuals be on our transportation team! Working as a Full-time Driver (DOT - CDL) - Class A or Class B, you will be representing our fleet as you deliver from Fastenal Distribution Centers to branches and customer on-site locations. You will operate a safe, well-maintained and late model tractor trailer or straight truck. Delivery trucks are pre-loaded, in order of delivery, by warehouse employees prior to departure and you will be responsible for unloading the freight at each stop along your route; most routes average 10-12 stops. We offer established routes that may see periodic change based off needs of the company. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Utilizing a handheld scanner
• Unloading product from trucks by hand, pallet jack, or by forklift
• Providing excellent service to our branches and customers by delivering product in a prompt, efficient manner
• Interacting with our shipping and receiving departments
• Maintaining a clean work environment within our equipment
• Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of work area
• Inspecting and reporting defects or issues in equipment
• Complying with DOT and Fastenal safety regulations
• Complying with health, safety and sustainability rules and expectations
• Participating in activities and programs that help the company achieve health, safety and sustainability objectives
• Learning, passing, and practicing various environmental health and safety trainings

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Possess or are currently in progress of obtaining a Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License
• Possess a current Health Card OR have the ability to obtain one
• Possess a current Haz Mat endorsement OR have the ability to obtain one (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)
• Meet Fastenal driving record requirements
• Demonstrate strong working knowledge of the DOT regulations in regards to a CDL Driver
• Maintain DOT regulated Drivers Hours-of-Service
• Willingness to drive interstate routes across state lines
• Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
• Lift up to 60 lbs. and maneuver up to 150lbs.
• Successfully complete the required DOT drug and alcohol screens, road test, employment verification and background check

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior driving work experience
• Prior experience operating a forklift

COMPENSATION

The base pay range for this position is $60,000 - 90,000. In addition to base pay, this position is also eligible for a bonus and/or commission.
