Job summary

Waste Pro has immediate openings for energetic CDL drivers. Waste Pro Roll-Off drivers are responsible for delivering and emptying large containers for Waste Pro's commercial customers.

Drivers perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections, keep the truck clean, and provide courteous service while following DOT regulations. A $10,000 driver award is available when criteria are met, reflecting Waste Pro's commitment to recognizing driver excellence.

Qualifications

• Must have a Class A or B CDL valid for the state in which the position works.
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
• Understand refuse collection policies, procedures, guidelines and practices; understanding of Department of Transportation and State requirements for operators of commercial motor vehicles.
• Hearing in the normal audio range with or without correction.
• Seeing in the normal visual range with or without correction.
• Understand and carry out oral and written instructions; Maintain written records and service responses.
• Must be able to speak and read English well enough to communicate with customers, co-workers, dispatch and supervisors, understand highway and traffic signals, and be able to make legible entries on paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Secure containers by attaching hook to container; use control levers to lift containers onto the truck bed and secure with straps.
• Provide courteous, expeditious customer service in all refuse operations.
• Answer customer questions and direct them to Customer Service or Sales for more information.
• Operate compaction and lift equipment on the vehicle.
• Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections per Waste Pro procedures and DOT guidelines; complete safety checks.
• Maintain a clean truck; perform basic under-hood and tire checks and fuel as needed.
