Job summary

SA Recycling is seeking a Truck Driver in Chattanooga, TN to move scrap metal to customer yards and return with empty containers. You must drive a semi-truck, follow DOT regulations, and stay visible on camera while maintaining safety in the yard.

Required are 3 years of CDL driving experience, a DOT medical exam, drug test, and a clean MVR with consent to Clearinghouse. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, and English/Spanish bilinguals are a plus for effective communication.

Qualifications

• 3 years of CDL driving experience with consistent job history.
• Must pass DOT medical exam and drug test.
• Background check with clean MVR and consent to Clearinghouse.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Bi-lingual English & Spanish a plus.
• Ability to communicate, follow directions, and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload containers hauling scrap metal.
• Perform DOT daily operation and safety inspection.
• Communicate with office and customers to determine commodities to load.
• Drive independently to and from yards in a safe manner.
• Maintain a clean and safe yard environment with coworkers.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks and housekeeping.
• Ensure attendance and punctuality.
