SA Recycling in Augusta, GA seeks a Truck Driver with CDL A to move material between yards, operate semi-trucks, and load/unload scrap metal while following all DOT regulations. The role demands roll-off/open-top trailer experience, strong safety practices, and dependable customer communication.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, grading metal for inventory, daily DOT safety checks, and maintaining a clean, safe yard.

Qualifications

• Must pass a medical DOT physical and DOT drug test.
• Must pass a background check.
• Preferred – high school diploma or GED.
• 3 years as a valid CDL Class A driver.
• Ability to communicate effectively; follow directions and use basic math.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks hauling scrap metal.
• Inspect and determine metal grade for inventory tracking.
• Perform DOT daily operation and safety inspection.
• Communicate with office and customers to determine commodities to load.
• Work independently when driving scrap metal.
• Maintain a safe, clean yard and assist customers as needed.
