Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling is hiring a Driver Trainee in Ohio to train alongside drivers and learn how to service routes with waste and recycling collection. The role includes safety-focused driving, route responsibilities, and training for a CDL license.

Shift hours are 4:00AM-6:00PM, Monday to Friday. Candidates must meet DOT requirements and be physically capable of frequent entry/exit of the truck, with a commitment to safe operations and customer service.

Qualifications

• Must obtain DOT medical card within 10 days of employment.
• Must obtain Class B CDL permit within 60 days of employment.
• Must obtain Class B CDL within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Attend classroom and field training to obtain CDL license.
• Assist as a helper during training to complete daily routes.
• Enter/exit a truck 300-500 times per day to service assigned route.
• Operate a truck safely in compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Provide waste or recycling removal services to customers on assigned routes.
