Job summary

Orion Talent is seeking a Safety Coordinator to support safety initiatives, training, compliance, and day-to-day operations in a fast-paced transportation and distribution environment in Cincinnati, Ohio. The role favors military veterans or transitioning service members with experience enforcing standards, conducting training, identifying hazards, and promoting a proactive safety culture.

CDL within six months is required or anticipated.

Qualifications

• Experience enforcing safety standards and building a strong safety culture.
• Experience conducting training, inspections, audits, or enforcing safety standards.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to obtain a CDL within six months of hire.
• Military backgrounds encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Support and enforce company safety policies and procedures
• Conduct safety inspections, audits, and training
• Identify workplace hazards and recommend corrective actions
• Assist with incident investigations and documentation
• Maintain safety records and compliance documentation
• Work directly with employees and leadership to improve safety performance
• Help reinforce a proactive, accountable safety culture
• Support transportation/fleet safety initiatives as needed
