Swift Transportation Company is seeking an instructor to train and evaluate student drivers toward CDL certification. The role includes safety inspections, hands-on driving instruction, and guiding students from range to road readiness.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of OTR experience, a Class A CDL, and may hold CVTA or state CDL Examiner qualifications. Candidates must adapt to various weather conditions and priorities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years OTR experience required.
• Experience as a third party tester or CVTA Master Level Instructor preferred.
• Must qualify as a Class A CDL driver.
• State CDL Examiner certification if administering exams.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Strong communication and self-motivation.

Responsibilities

• Train and evaluate student drivers to become licensed CDL holders.
• Instruct on safety inspections of trucks/trailers.
• Teach driving skills: turns, curves, backing, etc.
• Evaluate progress from range to road readiness.
• Ensure students perform well on upgrades/downgrades and intersections.
• Resolve student issues and support organizational goals.
