Job summary

SAGE is seeking a part-time CDL Trainer in Post Falls, Idaho to train new drivers using the company’s curriculum. No prior teaching experience is required; passion for safe driving and clear communication are key.

You will mentor students in range and on-road scenarios, following the established CDL program. The role focuses on hands-on instruction in 4-12 hour shifts, evaluating student performance, and guiding learners toward CDL certification while upholding safety standards and regulatory

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL license.
• Minimum two years of practical trucking experience.
• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations.
• Ability to demonstrate curriculum to students.

Responsibilities

• Instruct CDL students on driving maneuvers on range and roads.
• Provide guidance and feedback on performance during 4–12 hour shifts.
• Assess student progress and document outcomes.
• Deliver training in accordance with SAGE curriculum.
