Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of the Transportation Equipment Operator Trainee Program or equivalent.
• Graduation from a Commercial Driver’s License Training School.
• Equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Operate trucks, loaders, and other highway/bridge maintenance machinery.
• Maintain a valid CDL and perform daily equipment checks.
• Carry out flagging duties to guide traffic when needed.
• Perform debris removal, brush cutting and barrier repairs with hand tools.
• Make routine adjustments and demonstrate equipment use to coworkers.
• Follow safety procedures, wear protective gear and report hazards
