Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts in Waterville, ME seeks an Equipment Operator to operate heavy equipment removing branches and tree material from electrical lines. This role requires adherence to safe practices, ability to work outdoors in varying weather, and strong attention to instruction from the Foreperson.

Responsibilities include preparing equipment, maintaining tools, supporting the crew, reporting mileage, and performing storm-work duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Prior heavy equipment operating experience in electric utility vegetation management or related industries preferred.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Must have a Driver’s License; CDL and DOT Medical Card required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment as directed by Foreperson to remove branches and tree material from electrical lines.
• Assist in preparing equipment and materials for each day’s work.
• Maintain and repair equipment and tools used in operations.
• Support other crew members and take a leadership role when required.
