Job summary

Roadmaster Drivers School is seeking a CDL instructor to mentor students by teaching safety skills and best practices in trucking. This Full-Time role offers weekday schedules and growth opportunities within Werner Enterprises’ Roadmaster division.

You will demonstrate driving operations, ensure safety, supervise trainees, and deliver daily instruction in pre-trip, control skills, and road driving to prepare students for their careers in trucking.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class A CDL with minimal moving violations.
• Minimum 3 years over-the-road or local commercial driving experience.
• Must pass DOT physical, DOT drug test, and hair follicle test; willing to random test.
• Must communicate effectively with students and deliver training with leadership.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate driving operations for students on a regular basis.
• Oversee safe operation and use of equipment by students per policy.
• Supervise trainees and complete attendance forms and training records.
• Provide in-person daily instruction in Pre-Trip Inspection, Basic Control Skills, and Road Driving.
