Job summary

PAM Transport is seeking a CDL Instructor in Hammond, IN to train students on classroom and on‑the‑road driving, ensuring they learn safe driving practices and pass the CDL exam. The role runs Monday through Friday, day shift, with a pay range of $60,000-$65,000 per year based on experience.

Qualifications

• 2 years of verifiable Class A experience in the last 3 years or 1 year of experience as a Class A CDL Instructor.
• Candidate must be able to pass a pre-employment skills test
• Valid Class A CDL License.
• Clean MVR and background.
• Be able to perform duties of over-the-road, basic skills and classroom instruction as assigned.
• Ability to obtain and maintain licensure as required by applicable state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver classroom, equipment, range, and road instruction.
• Monitor student progress and provide additional assistance as necessary.
• Prepare reports and records accurately and completely as required by laws, policies, and school regulations.
• Manage student behavior in the classroom and on the range by enforcing rules and procedures.
• Keep current with laws and developments related to commercial truck driving.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
