Job summary

PAM Transport is seeking a School Instructor to train students for high-quality, safe drivers. You will teach in classrooms and on the road, guiding learners to successfully pass the state CDL exam and develop essential driving skills.

The role offers a Monday–Friday day schedule with a pay range of $60,000–$65,000 per year, depending on experience. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401K with match, PTO, and direct deposit.

Qualifications

• 2 years of verifiable Class A experience in the last 3 years or 1 year as a Class A CDL Instructor.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment skills test.
• Valid Class A CDL License.
• Clean MVR and background.
• Able to perform over-the-road, basic skills and classroom instruction as assigned.
• Able to obtain and maintain licensure as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver classroom, equipment, range, and road instruction.
• Monitor student progress and provide additional assistance as necessary.
• Prepare reports and records accurately and completely as required by laws, policies, and school regulations.
• Manage student behavior in the classroom and on the range by enforcing rules and procedures.
• Keep current with laws and developments related to commercial truck driving.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

About this opportunity

The School Instructor is responsible for training students to produce the highest quality safe drivers. The School Instructor works with students both in the classroom and on the road, teaching them to operate a vehicle safely on the driving range as well as on public roads, and to learn the skills necessary to pass the state CDL exam.

This position is Monday - Friday, day shift. The pay range is $60,000 - $65,000/year dependent on experience.
