Job summary

Midwest CDL Training in Lincoln, Nebraska is seeking a CDL Instructor with a Class A to train and mentor new drivers. You will deliver hands-on training, assess progress, and help students become career-ready CDL holders.

No prior trucking experience is required, as Valerie will train you. You will work outdoors in all weather, on our lot, guiding students through safety checks, inspections, and basic driving skills while building their confidence and professional skills.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL with clean driving record for at least 2 years.
• Prior experience not needed; Valerie will train you.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for teaching and mentoring others.
• Patience and adaptability since each training is individualized.
• Able to work outside in all climates and not afraid of a little dust or dirt.
• Like some exercise as we walk and guide students on our lot during exercises.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive CDL training courses to students, covering topics such as safety operations, vehicle inspections, basic skills.
• Evaluate student performance through driving practice and skills assessments.
• Provide constructive feedback and coaching to help students improve driving skills and knowledge.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress.
• Teach the skills you already use every day.
