The South Carolina Department of Transportation in District 6 is seeking a crew member to operate herbicide application equipment and herbicide truck following the IRVM plan along roads and bridges.

You will collect and provide data for HMMS, perform QC checks, assist with safety forms and training, set up traffic control, and complete pre-trip CDL inspections; you may work outside normal hours during inclement weather and emergencies.

Qualifikationen

• Must have CDL Class A with six-month completion window.
• Demonstrates safety awareness and compliance with traffic control.
• Ability to collect, verify and report data accurately.

• Operates herbicide application equipment and herbicide truck per IRVM plan.
• Reports data to HMMS and performs quality checks on reports.
• Assists in completing job hazard analyses and participates in safety meetings.
• Sets up traffic control devices to create safe work zones.
• Performs routine maintenance and CDL pre-trip inspections.
• May assist in emergencies and during severe weather events.
