Job summary

South Carolina Department of Transportation seeks a maintenance worker to perform herbicide application along roads and bridges in District 6 under the IRVM plan. You will operate herbicide equipment, collect data for HMMS, and assist in safety and reports.

Responsibilities

• Operates herbicide application equipment and herbicide truck along roads and bridges under IRVM plan.
• Provides data to HMMS and performs quality checks for reports.
• Assists with safety, hazard analysis, and daily/weekly/monthly reporting.
• Sets up traffic control and follows Work Zone guidelines.
• Completes CDL pre-trip inspections and participates in required training.
• Assists with data gathering for cost records and emergencies as needed.
