Job summary

Sunland Asphalt, LLC. is seeking an experienced Heavy Haul Transport Driver to join our growing team. The role is primarily office-based with periodic field visits, supporting a leading asphalt solutions provider renowned for quality, reliability and safety.

The Heavy Haul Transport Driver will hold a valid Class A CDL and may operate equipment or perform general labor as part of a crew. A DOT medical card is required, with potential Hazmat/tanker endorsements depending on position.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years' experience as a lowboy transporter of oversized/ overweight loads.
• Must be fluent in English, i.e., must be able to speak, read and write English.
• A current, Class A, CDL license in the state where the majority of work is being performed.
• A Hazmat or tanker endorsement may be required depending on position/dept./division.
• Must be able to pass DOT physical and maintain a current medical card.

Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload Sunland-owned equipment such as pavers, milling machines, compactors, scrapers, motor graders and more.
• Keep truck and trailer road-worthy and coordinate with mechanics for repairs.
• Log driving hours and DVIRs in compliance with state, federal and local laws.
• Maintain open communication with dispatchers, foremen and field crews.
• Transport equipment to and from production sites as needed and assist in maintenance.
