Job summary

Sunland Asphalt is seeking experienced CDL drivers (Class A) to join our growing team in Phoenix. CDL holders will operate trucks and paving equipment, perform labor on site, and help ensure safe, on-time project delivery.

Sunland Asphalt and Construction, LLC. is seeking experienced CDL's (Class A) to join our booming business. CDLs will drive, operate equipment, and provide general labor in these areas: Crack Seal, Sealcoat, Chip Seal, Slurry Seal, Striping.

Essential Duties:

• Operate commercial motor vehicles requiring a valid CDL, including vehicles requiring Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
• Perform manual labor duties in support of paving and construction operations, including site preparation, asphalt placement, shoveling, raking, cleanup, and traffic control.
• Operate heavy construction and paving equipment, including trucks, pavers, rollers, screeds, paving finishers, curbing machines, and front-end loaders.
• Work safely and efficiently to meet production goals and project schedules.
• Comply with all applicable DOT, federal, state, and local regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete required DVIR documentation.
• Maintain accurate driver logs and records in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with maintenance personnel to address vehicle and equipment repair needs.
• Transport equipment, materials, and supplies to and from job sites as required.
• Assist with the maintenance and upkeep of vehicles and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Current, Class A, CDL license in the state where the majority of work is being performed is required.
• Six (6) months to one (1) year related experience is preferred.
• Tanker endorsement may be required depending on position/dept./division.
• Hazmat endorsement is strongly preferred.
• Must meet FMCSA English proficiency requirements under 49 CFR §391.11(b)(2).
