Job summary

Waste Pro in Orlando is seeking energetic CDL drivers to operate refuse collection vehicles on pre-assigned routes, coordinating with helpers and ensuring safe, timely pickups. You will perform pre/post-trip inspections, maintain cleanliness, and comply with DOT regulations while providing courteous service to customers on a demanding residential route.

Applicants must hold a valid CDL, be at least 21, and able to read and communicate in English.

Qualifications

• Class A or B CDL valid for the state with a clean driving record.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Understand refuse collection policies and DOT requirements.
• Hearing and vision within normal range.
• Ability to operate refuse trucks and safety equipment.
• Speak and read English well enough for communication and paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive on pre-established routes and collect garbage and recyclables.
• Provide courteous, expeditious customer service on the route.
• Maintain a positive attitude toward company and municipal goals.
• Tag improper containers and transfer waste correctly.
• Perform daily pre/post-trip inspections and safety checks.
• Keep the truck clean; wash exterior weekly and inspect under the hood.
• Assist with on-route yardwork and loading as required.
• Prepare and submit required reports and documents.
• Oversee helpers on the vehicle and ensure safety.
• Comply with DOT and state motor vehicle regulations.
• Follow designated route or work schedule; maintain records.
