Job summary

Waste Pro is seeking energetic CDL drivers to operate refuse collection vehicles on pre-assigned routes. You will perform pre/post-trip inspections, ensure timely pickups, and maintain a clean, safe truck while delivering courteous service to customers.

You must hold a valid Class A or B CDL, have a clean driving record, be at least 21, and communicate effectively in English. Training and potential emergency duties may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have a Class A or B CDL valid for the state in which the position works.
• Must have a clean driving record.
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
• Must be able to speak and read English well enough to communicate with customers, co-workers, dispatch and supervisors, understand highway and traffic signals, and make legible entries on paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Safely drives the truck on a pre-established route and dumps garbage and refuse on designated routes.
• Provides high level of service with courteous, expeditious customer service.
• Ensures proper pickup and transfer of garbage and recyclables.
• Performs daily pre- and post-trip inspections and safety checks.
• Maintains truck cleanliness and performs routine checks and maintenance.
• Supports and supervises helpers on the route as assigned.
• Complies with DOT and state requirements for commercial vehicle operators.
• Participates in training and may work during emergencies.
