Job summary

Liberty Waste Solutions in Wilmington, NC is seeking a Commercial Driver (Front Load) to safely collect waste and recyclables on designated routes. You will log information electronically, communicate with dispatch, and ensure the truck and PPE are in good condition.

The role emphasizes safety, customer service, and reliability, with a pay range of $24.00–$28.00 per hour and opportunities for overtime and benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL with a clean driving record (2 years preferred).
• CDL with waste management industry experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of local geography and road networks is helpful.
• Understanding of safety regulations and procedures.
• Ability to operate a waste collection vehicle and its controls.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Physical stamina to lift and move up to 50 lbs and work in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Operate a front end loader truck on assigned routes to customers and disposal sites.
• Log and report information to dispatch via electronic devices.
• Communicate with dispatch personnel and report delays or breakdowns.
• Report container issues to dispatch and management.
• Keep the truck and equipment clean, safe and in good working order.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and ensure PPE is worn.
• Safely collect residential waste and recyclables and operate vehicle controls.
• Adhere to traffic laws and company safety policies.
