Job summary

Waste Pro has immediate openings for energetic CDL Drivers in Houston, TX. The Front Load Driver operates refuse collection trucks on pre-assigned routes, performing pre-trip and post-trip checks and maintaining safety and service standards.

The role includes completing route sheets, reporting issues, and providing courteous customer service. A $10,000 driver award is offered periodically for meeting criteria.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Class A or B CDL valid for the state of work.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Understands refuse collection policies and DOT/state requirements for CMV operators.
• Hears in the normal audio range (with or without correction).
• Sees in the normal visual range (with or without correction).
• Exhibits normal range of body motion.
• Able to operate refuse trucks and related equipment safely.
• Can manipulate heavy equipment control levers.
• Can follow a designated refuse collection route and schedule.
• Can understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
• Maintains written records and service responses.
• Able to read and speak English well for communication.

Responsibilities

• Serves commercial businesses by picking up Front Load Containers.
• Completes route/productivity sheets, mileage, fuel use, logs, and vehicle reports.
• Communicates professionally with customers and reports issues to supervisory staff.
• Ensures safe operation of the truck, including pre/post-trip inspections and hazard assessment.
• Cleans waste from the packer blade and truck body during landfill runs.
• Keeps truck clean and performs weekly exterior washes.
