Job summary

Capital Waste Services is currently seeking a safety-conscious Front-End Driver to service commercial dumpsters on an assigned Charleston route. You will operate a Front-End Loader, perform pre/post-trip inspections, and ensure DOT compliance while delivering exceptional customer service.

Ideal candidates hold a valid CDL, have a clean driving record, and at least 3 years of Front-End Loader experience, with a commitment to reliable, safe operation and professional representation of Capital

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or B CDL required.
• Acceptable driving record and ability to meet company insurability requirements.
• Pass DOT drug screening, background check, and physical examination.
• Minimum age of 21 years.
• Ability to pass safety and operating standards.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with Front-End Loader operations.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Front-End Loader (FEL) truck to collect and transport commercial waste.
• Complete assigned routes efficiently and according to established schedules.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns promptly.
• Ensure proper servicing of commercial containers while minimizing property damage.
• Maintain compliance with all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.
• Interact professionally with customers and address service-related concerns appropriately.
• Use route management technology and onboard systems as required.
• Keep vehicles clean and in good operating condition.
• Report accidents, incidents, equipment failures, and safety hazards immediately.
• Complete route documentation, inspection reports, and other required paperwork accurately and timely.
• Assist with training new drivers when assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
