GFL Environmental is hiring a local CDL Front-End Driver to service commercial and multi-family accounts from Brunswick/Bolivia, NC. You will operate front-load trucks, perform pre/post-trip checks, and maintain logs while enjoying a predictable schedule.

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) in good standing.
• Minimum of 1 year of commercial truck driving experience OR a certificate from an accredited CDL school.
• Maneuvering heavy equipment in tight or high-traffic areas.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform pre/post-trip inspections.

Responsibilities

• Drive front-load vehicles on assigned routes servicing commercial and multi-family accounts.
• Operate hydraulics and controls to lift and dump 3–4 yard containers safely.
• Interact with local businesses and community members along routes.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections, maintain logs/productivity sheets, follow safety procedures.
• Use maps and GPS to navigate and optimize routes.

You'll be operating high-powered front-load equipment, serving multi-family residential and commercial customers across assigned routes, and playing a vital role in keeping our community clean and green.

What You'll Be Doing

• Master the Route: Drive commercial front-load vehicles along assigned routes to service commercial customers and multi-family residential communities.
• Operate with Precision: Use hydraulics and controls to lift and dump 3-to-4-yard containers smoothly and safely.
• Be the Face of GFL: Positively interact with local businesses and community members along your daily route.
• Keep Safety First: Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, maintain accurate logbooks/productivity sheets, and follow all safety and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Problem Solve On the Go: Use key maps and GPS to navigate tight clearances and maneuvering spaces like a pro.

What We're Looking For

• Credentials: A valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) in good standing.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of commercial truck driving experience OR a certificate from an accredited CDL school.
• Maneuvering Skills: Ability to safely back up and operate heavy equipment in tight or high-traffic areas.
• Physical Capability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, open corral gates, and perform physical pre/post-trip inspections.
• Great Attitude: A strong work ethic, safety-first mindset, and commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
