Job summary

UPS is seeking a reliable Automotive Technician to join our fleet maintenance team. You will service delivery vehicles, tractors and trailers from various manufacturers with diesel, gasoline and alternative powertrains including hybrid and electric in some locations.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting and maintaining hydraulic brakes, air brakes, electrical and engine control systems. CDL Class A or B license required; expect 8–10 hour shifts, 4–5 days per week, and a comprehensive

Qualifications

• Current documented automotive mechanical experience.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools and personal computer.
• Possesses full complement of personal hand tools.
• Must possess a valid CDL Class A or Class B license.

Responsibilities

• Meet DOT requirements and CDL qualifications.
• Perform frequent bending, lifting and movement as needed.
• Operate standard and manual transmissions.
• Use power and pneumatic tools.
• Maintain Power Industrial Truck Operations (PITO) certification.
