Job summary

Roadmaster Drivers School of Jacksonville Inc is seeking a CDL Examiner to administer CDL examinations in compliance with state and Federal rules, regulations, and company policies.

This role requires a valid CDL Class A with endorsements, a clean driving record, and the ability to pass and maintain a USDOT medical exam, drug screen, and hair follicle test. Examiners must communicate effectively and uphold testing integrity with professionalism at all times.

Qualifications

• A valid CDL Class A license with endorsements as required by the Company.
• Clean driving record with no moving violations within the last 3 years.
• Must pass and maintain a USDOT physical and DOT drug screen/HFT.
• Must obtain/local, state and Federal approvals to be certified as a CDL Examiner.
• Must communicate effectively using verbal, non-verbal and written skills.
• Demonstrate physical, intellectual and leadership ability for the duties described.

Responsibilities

• Administer CDL exams in accordance with state and Federal regulations and company policies.
• Ensure safe operation of testing equipment during examinations and intervene to prevent unsafe driving.
• Maintain the reliability and integrity of CDL exams, including Pre-trip, Basic Skills and Road Tests.
• Attend CDL refresher classes and stay updated on procedures and policies.
• Maintain professional conduct, dignity, and compliance with all policies and exams facility standards.
• Submit all test evaluations and required reports accurately and promptly.
• Keep testing equipment clean, maintained and in good working order.
• Assist training department as needed in line with regulations.
