Job summary

The State of Hawaiʻi's Department of Land & Natural Resources, Engineering Division, seeks an Equipment Operator II with a CDL Class A to support construction and maintenance projects. Responsibilities include operating two or more motorized machines such as trucks, backhoes, and tractors/excavators with capacity between 1 1/2 and 5 tons.

Minimum qualifications require at least one year of related experience and ability to meet U.S. work authorization.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A with no restrictions relating to codes E and L at the time of application.
• At least 1 year of work experience operating two or more motorized equipment types (e.g., trucks, backhoes, tractors).
• U.S. citizenship, national status, or eligible for unrestricted employment in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Operate two or more motorized equipment types (e.g., trucks, backhoes, tractors/excavators) with capacity between 1 1/2 and 5 tons as part of major assignments.
• Assist with general construction and maintenance work and perform related duties as assigned.
