Clean Harbors in Anchorage, AK is seeking a Class A CDL Equipment Operator / Truck Driver to operate a variety of heavy and light trucks at customer sites, including vacuum trucks, Cuscos, guzzlers and roll offs, performing driving and non-driving duties in hazardous waste clean-up. This position offers a $7,000 sign-on bonus for unrestricted Class A CDL with full endorsement.

New hires attend a two-week Academy training out of state, paid by the company.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with no restrictions.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
• Ability to operate a manual transmission.
• Ability to use mobile devices.
• Commitment to safety; willing to undergo background check, drug screen and medical exam.
• Conformance with OSHA respiratory protection standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the top priority and follow safe work practices.
• Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers as needed.
• Operate a variety of Class A trucks and load/unload cargo.
• Perform manual labor on site to meet customer needs.
• Place proper placards for DOT compliance and maintain logs/timesheets.
• Follow local, state and federal regulations and company guidelines.
• Operate vehicles in accordance with DOT requirements and company policies.
• Be on call for emergency response on a rotating basis.
• Involved in site remediation and handling of hazardous materials as applicable.
