Job summary

Veolia is hiring a CDL Driver to travel along an assigned route, handling packing, transporting, and disposing of waste in line with our environmental policies. The role includes occasional overnights, a company card for hotels, and a daily stipend for meals.

You will complete paperwork and maintain accurate records while providing excellent customer service to clients. The position requires a Class B CDL, DOT compliance, and the ability to work independently after training.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old
• High School diploma or GED required
• Understand, read, and write English
• Able to repeatedly lift and carry up to 75 lbs
• Able to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods
• Basic knowledge of Windows-based software (Word, Excel, etc)
• Valid Class B CDL
• Able to pass a DOT physical, drug test, and DEA background check

Responsibilities

• Package and transport waste safely according to all federal, state, and local rules and regulations.
• Complete required paperwork in accordance with appropriate regulations and customer policies, practices, and procedures.
• Load and secure materials and waste or unload truck at various customer sites or Clean Earth locations.
• Prepare and load truck with necessary supplies.
• Provide the highest level of customer service to assigned accounts daily while communicating any issues to the Manager or Dispatcher for resolution.
• Perform a documented pre-trip and post-trip check on assigned truck prior to leaving and closing each day.
• Plan schedule/route based on customer needs by reviewing daily paperwork (e.g., manifests, route sheets).
• Follow routing software route schedule.
• Follow all DOT guidelines while driving.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed.
