Job summary

Veolia, in North America, seeks an Environmental Driver Specialist CDLB to travel to customer locations and manage the packing, transport, and disposal of waste following all regulations. You will perform pre-trip inspections, load/unload, and ensure accurate paperwork and safety compliance, while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires a valid Class B CDL, MEC, TWIC, and preferred Hazmat endorsement, with potential overnight stays.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old per FMCSA guidelines.
• Possess a valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License.
• Maintain a current MEC and valid TWIC card.
• Hazmat and/or Tanker endorsement preferred or obtainable within 90 days of hire.
• 1+ years route driving experience preferred.
• 1+ years waste industry experience preferred.
• Experience with straight or combo vehicle and roll-off bins preferred.
• Fluency in verbal and written English.

Responsibilities

• Classify, segregate, and inventory waste containers in storage for shipment.
• Load/unload materials and waste at customer sites or Clean Earth locations.
• Label and transport waste safely per regulations and company policy.
• Complete required paperwork (route sheets, manifests, BOLs, etc.).
• Pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicle daily.
• Follow DOT hours of service and routing software schedules.
• Provide high-level customer service and communicate issues to management.
• Perform warehouse duties related to receipt, shipment, storage, distribution of waste.
• Operate forklift or other heavy equipment as required.
• May require up to 4 overnight stays per week with hotel expenses and per diem.
