Position Overview
Efficiently deliver products to customers in a safe, courteous, professional, compliant, and timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Operate CMV safely and professionally, including combination vehicles or straight trucks over 10,001 lbs GVWR or GCWR.
- Complete pre-trip, in-route, and post-trip inspections using mobile logs.
- Unload and deliver products safely using lift gates, hand trucks, or pallet jacks.
- Accurately complete delivery and pickup paperwork.
- Operate Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) and Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
- Maintain product levels on racks, shelves, displays, and coolers; transport products using MHE.
- Communicate route issues to supervisors for proper handling.
- Report unsafe conditions and attend all required training and certifications.
- Follow all company policies, store policies, and applicable laws including DOT regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve concerns.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 21 years old or meet state legal age requirements.
- Valid Class A CDL with an acceptable driving record.
- At least one year of driving experience with a Class A CDL or military equivalent.
- Recent safe driving experience within the past 12 months in a similar CMV.
- One year of work experience involving heavy lifting, such as in distribution, construction, or similar fields.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations.
- Pass a post-offer drug test, background check, and DOT physical.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Beverage industry experience.
- Customer service experience, including problem-solving.
- Experience with manual or powered pallet jacks.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull objects up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
- Operate manual transport equipment over 100 yards.
- Physically exert oneself over sustained periods.
