Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a Training Specialist to develop and deliver driver training programs across our delivery fleet. You will train new and existing drivers on DOT regulations, company policies, safety procedures, and best practices to ensure compliant, efficient routes.

Responsibilities include classroom and field training, evaluating performance, and providing timely feedback to improve skills.

Qualifications

• Must have CDL A and DOT Health Card.
• Minimum 1 year of route driving experience with PFG.
• Minimum 2 years of route driving experience overall.
• Experience with DOT regulations and safety policies.
• Proficient with computerized fleet systems (e.g., PeopleNet).
• Must be 21 years of age and meet licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Train and re-train delivery drivers on DOT and company policies.
• Deliver hands-on and classroom training to driver trainees.
• Provide ongoing feedback to trainees and supervisory staff.
• Ensure customer service, delivery windows, and safety guidelines are met.
• Collaborate with drivers and supervisors to prepare for professional driving careers.
