Job summary

Ancora Education is seeking a temporary AT - CDL Driver Trainer to support and perform all driver training functions for the CDL program at the Springfield, IL location. This 90-day assignment involves over-the-road training, range maneuvers, and classroom instruction for Amazon Career Choice associates in selected markets.

The role requires a valid CDL, 3 years of on-the-road experience, DOT compliance, and the ability to pass drug screening and DOT physicals.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL with appropriate class level for the position.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3 years of verifiable on-the-road experience within the last 5 years.
• MVR and background check, including a drug screening.
• Ability to pass the road test and DOT physical/drug screen.
• Maintain a valid Medical Examiner Certificate and pass DOT drug tests as required.

Responsibilities

• Promotes and maintains a positive learning environment.
• Delivers instruction on trucking/driving topics.
• Administers written tests and evaluates grades.
• Conducts pre-trip inspections and air-brake tests.
• Instructs backing, parking, and docking maneuvers.
• Maintains student records and confidentiality.
