Job summary

Ancora Education is seeking a temporary AT - CDL Driver Trainer in Allentown, PA to support and perform driver training for the CDL program. The role involves classroom instruction, road training, and skills assessments, with periods of up to 90 days for end-of-season training.

You will work under the supervision of the Program Director or Lead Driver Trainer, delivering material, conducting tests, and maintaining records with attention to safety and DOT compliance.

Qualifications

• CDL license valid for applicable class.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 3 years of verifiable on-the-road experience.
• Must pass DOT physical and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Train students in trucking and driving fundamentals.
• Administer written tests and evaluate grades.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of commercial vehicles.
• Instruct air-brake tests, straight-line backing and docking maneuvers.
• Maintain student progress records and attendance.
• Uphold safety and regulatory compliance during instruction.
