Ancora Education in Baton Rouge is seeking a temporary AT - CDL Driver Trainer to support and perform all driver training functions for the CDL program at assigned markets. Qualifications

• Valid CDL required; Class level must meet position requirements.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3 years of verifiable on-the-road experience within the last 5 years.
• MVR and background check including a drug screening.
• Must pass a DOT physical and DOT drug screen.
• Maintain a valid Medical Examiner Certificate and pass DOT drug tests.
• Knowledge of pre-trip inspections, air-brake tests, and CDL driving basics.
• Ability to teach shifting patterns and vehicle handling.
• Strong communication and classroom instruction abilities.

Responsibilities

• Promotes and maintains a positive learning environment.
• Convenes all assigned classes per start and end times.
• Trains students in trucking/driving and administers tests.
• Instructs pre-trip inspections, air-brake tests, and backing maneuvers.
• Maintains accurate records of student progress and attendance.
• Upholds safety, confidentiality, and professional conduct.
