Job summary

Commonwealth Building Materials, Inc. in Harrisonburg, VA is seeking a delivery driver to safely operate a commercial vehicle, load and unload building materials, and deliver to commercial and residential job sites while providing world-class customer service.

Duties include inspecting equipment, ensuring DOT compliance, maintaining records, and lifting up to 80–100 lbs; this is an on-site hourly role with base pay up to $25 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).
• Minimum Class B License; Class A strongly preferred.
• Three-year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) must be clear.
• Knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; build relationships.

Responsibilities

• Inspect truck/trailer for defects and safe operation.
• Safely load building materials onto flatbed or boom truck and unload at job sites.
• Deliver materials to assigned area while prioritizing safety.
• Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations.
• Report all accidents involving driver or company equipment.
• Lift heavy building materials up to 80–100 lbs for loading/unloading.
• Provide excellent customer service with a professional attitude.
