Job summary

Commonwealth Building Materials, Inc. - Glen Allen is seeking a delivery driver to safely operate a commercial vehicle and deliver building materials to commercial and residential job sites.

You will load/unload materials, load and inspect equipment, and provide a world-class customer service experience while adhering to DOT regulations. The role requires a valid CDL (Class B minimum; Class A preferred), a strong safety record, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).
• Minimum Class B License; Class A strongly preferred.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Must have a clean three (3) year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
• Knowledge of Federal and State Department of Transportation regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Inspect truck/trailer for defects and safe operation.
• Safely load building materials onto flatbed or boom truck and unload at job sites.
• Deliver materials to designated areas prioritizing safety and customer service.
• Maintain records required for compliance with regulations.
• Report all accidents involving driver or equipment and maintain vehicle readiness.
